I switched over just recently from oceanic to this salt. Overall I haven't noticed too much of a difference however I believe that both are great salts and this one has some better trace elements that a lot of corals crave.
However, just as it says in the video review.... just make sure you get one of the great salts out there (you probably can't say 1 is better than another), just as long as you don't get something like petco salt.
This is one of those great salts!

Well I'am a kinda new to reefing, and after spending hours looking up salt on many websites, I chose this one. First of all is that this salt has all the nutrients that are needed in the right quantities. I also never had any brown film on the bottom of my salt mixing bucket. Also this salt mixes really fast like within an hour after mixing the water will be crystal clear.

I have used this salt before and never had a problem. With this new bucket I am getting brown sediment like crazy. I use RO/DI and make sure everything I use to mix is clean. I will never buy this salt again.

I use RED SEA products, I have a red sea max 250 red sea test kits and used the Red sea salt mix. I switched to Coral Pro and every batch of salt I make has white film after 24 hours. I saw in a review above me red sea told them to not mix for that long. it is usually crystal clear after 20 minutes so ill give that a try.

great for LPS only tanks By Rocky on 7/17/2011

I have been using this salt for a while and really like it because the calcium and alkalinity levels are so high. I only have anemones and a few LPS and this salt allows me to manage my levels with weekly water changes alone. No calcium reactor or other additives. I have noticed like some of the other users that if you mix it too long the calcium starts to precipitate out because the cal/alk levels are intentionally really high so I generally mix it and use it a hour later to avoid that. I’d use the normal blue bucket red sea if I were concerned about that or managed calcium levels with a reactor or something else.
