I used to use API test kits, but as soon as I got this test kit I quickly quit using the API. It is a great test kit for anyone, the instruction booklet is very informative. The mag test kit took some time to get used to. Over all I'd recommend this kit to anyone!!!

nice test kit. but the numbers are wearing off the syringe way to fast. and Red Sea will not reply to me on the matter. I only rinsed with RO water but the numbers went away pretty fast.

this product is easy to use. Results seem to be pretty consistant with my Salifert test kit also. For the price you can not beat it.

I decided to try this test kit after seeing reviews on how easy it is to use, and how much better it is that 'color comparison' tests. Titration is the way to go and after comparing the values to a water sample sent to a local lab, KH and Mg were within 3% of the Red Sea kit and Ca was within 5%. Good hobby grade tests to show changes in values over time, and relatively close to lab values

I started using this kit 4 weeks ago and have been very happy. The results are close to what i was getting with Salifert Test Kits and the cost is hard to beat.

Works as indicated.
I was a bit disapointed when I got the package though. One of the reagent bottles must have come loose (not sure which, all seemed full and still had lids on) as the inside of the container was quite wet, to the point of the cards being floppy and having some ink run. Did not really effect preformance, I took everything out and dried it, and it all seemd to be ok.
When you order it, be sure to pay attention to how everything is packed into the black case, they fit it in there well. In the future I would like to see clamps on the side for the reagent bottles, just like the clamps on the lid for the test vials.

I'll say my complaints first: the price is high compared to many other test kits and I often have trouble distinguishing between colors when they change even though I am not color blind lol. However, the quality of this product is great and I like the titrator system which makes testing simple. Compared to other test kits I have used I think this one is much more accurate and comes with better testing tools. The kit also comes in a small plastic box for storage which is corrosion resistant. It is nice that you can order the titrant separate from everything else when it is used up. Grade A product overall. Every reefer needs one!

Red Sea seems to have done their homework. The cartridge for holding the titration syringe is an excellent addition to the test kit. The tests are fairly easy to read and they seem to be accurate. I checked the dKH using this kit and compared the numbers with the Hanna colorimeter and was right on with this test kit. Would highly recommend.
