For the longest time, I could not properly assess why the pH in my reef system continually ran in the 7.7X range despite my best efforts to elevate it.

After review of numerous articles, I finally came across one by Randy Homles-Farley that spoke to directly to my issue i.e. excess CO2.

I wouldn't have thought the "green" energy efficient new home I was living in could be a contributing factor....but when you step back and assess why it's energy efficient it makes sense i.e. there is no interior to exterior leakage i.e. air-exchange. That means when the AC is on, we are only cooling the interior of our home and not leaking cool air outside.

Having said that, I noticed an improvement in pH the day I installed the BRS Media Reactor + Color Changing Media. The pH that consistently ran in the low 7.7X range now hovered in the 7.9X+ range througout the day. Also, the color changing media (from white to purple) makes it easy to detect when the media is exhausted thereby assisting in the visual (non probe/test kit measurement) management of pH.

If you are looking for an easy to install/use tool to assist in pH management, you've found it. I highly recommend this product.

I got new windows and insulation in my house. Could not keep my ph above 8. Put this stuff in a geo reactor I wasnt' using and ran a line to my skimmer intake. My ph literally went from 7.8 to 8.2 in four hours and this was after I installed at 11 o'clock at night. Now just to see how long it actually last.

Used with Universal Air Filter . Had low PH in tank due to elevated CO2 in house. Hooked it up to skimmer and PH is already coming up.

Product does work but does not last long . Lasted 2 days before turned purple and Ph dropped back down. Save your money just run air line to outside of house if interior CO2 levels to high.

Very happy with my choice to use this product. Ph had been increadibly stable since installing and my corals polyps have been constantly extended since with great coloration.

Raised my PH from 8.0 to 8.2 on a 450 gallon system. Works great, will certainly continue to use. Great solution when ALK is at capacity.

i was one of those reefers where all my levels were spot on & my low PH was the missing link... some of my corals just weren't thriving as they should... I tried KALK but it threw my ALK over 12 & the PH only stayed high for a short time & then dropped off... i was skeptical that this filter would even work... it took 4 days, but this morning to my surprise, my PH bottomed out at a record high 8.08 & its midday & my PH is at 8.20 ... my PH used to bottom out around 7.8 & only get as high as 8.05 unless i dosed it. i am seeing close to a .4 swing with this filter... that's HUGE! I guess i had a CO2 problem after all... This filter is great!!! It change my whole outlook on the corals I can put in my tank... Only downside, the media is expensive & in the 1st 4 days of use, 20% of the media chamber turned purple... lets see how long the 9lb jug lasts me...

Product works as it says. You will need to purchase the Universal Air Filter as well. I would also highly recommend a PH monitor if you already don't have one. An American Marine Pinpoint PH monitor works perfect. I now have more control over my PH than I ever have before. Thanks BRS.

This stuff is amazing. Since turning the heat on I've been having low Ph 7.6-8.0. I got the CO2 absorbent, made my own reactor with parts here on BRS, and withing 48 hours my Ph was stable at 8.1-8.4. Aweseom stuff. I have been running it for 2 weeks no, and not sigifigant color change, so it should last a while inbetween changes.

Every winter I fight low pH. It’s a continuing battle of trying to keep my pH from falling to low while trying to not drive my CA and ALK through the roof.
My pH was running around 7.68 in with my CA and ALK max out. Three day after installing a skimmer air supply scrubber with this CO2 absorbent my pH has been running a solid 8.25 to 8.38. I wish had found it a couple of years ago. No more fights with the wife about opening a window for better air and in the process heating the front yard. This stuff is outstanding!
