I have used Eheim pumps in many different applicaitons and you will not find a quieter or more reliable pump. Another great example of you get what you pay for.

Using as return pump on a 220 gal "Herbie" system and have been very pleased. Performance is great but my major concern was finding a quiet, quality pump. With a small amount of padding to reduce vibration in sump....it is near silent with only a very low hum audible. Cheaper pumps available but performance makes this a better value.

I just start using as 1262 as my return pump - it is powerful and quiet - really nice piece of engineering.

I have had it for a few months and am very happy. I had a mag before and seems to put out less heat and not much noise. I am very happy and will purchase more eheim pumps if I need them.

I have an Eheim 1262 900GPH model. The flow rate is just as rated, the reliability, start-up, and fitting options are very nice. The best part of this pump is it is virtually silent and vibration is very minimal for this class of pump. Yes, its very expensive, but I feel the cost is very justifiable.
