This was the second skimmer that I have tried on my tank, it turned out to be far superior to the one I got at my local fish store. Has some fine bubbles but as it has broken in and I have fine tuned the cup on the back it does well. I really like this skimmer, keep my tank looking great!

I have just started using this protein skimmer and it seems to be working great. At the very beginning when assembling it, i had a bit of trouble with the air intake silencer. Got a bit confused???Still, this is a great starter skimmer and really pulls in the gunk and stuff!

Skimmer is very well constructed, very sturdy and build well. It is being used on a 55 gallon reef tank. I finally have it dialed in pulls great skimmate.
I didn't realize how big the pump on this thing is, really is an eye sore in the tank and there is no fine tuning of the air intake to adjust the level of bubbles, you have to move the skimmer cup up and down, it comes with a rubber gasket wrapped around the outside to "hold" the current level which you had it last time. But once you find that sweet spot it really pulls some gunk.

This is overkill for my 20 gallon but I bought this for when I get a bigger tank. Really easy to set up. Started to clean my water right away. I’ve had it about 2 weeks now and all the micro bubbles are gone and it seems quitter. Easy to clean as well. Works great for my tank.

I have been using this skimmer for a few months on a 29g Mantis tank. It works great 90% of the time. The problems starts when my Peacock Mantis reorganizes the whole tank before molting. So every few month she moves most of the sand and some gets in the skimmer. My only problem with the skimmer is that i have to take it apart and clean it way too often. In a regular tank people will probably not have this problem!
