I bought this as part of a tank upgrade I did a couple months ago. I had a reef octopus skimmer on the old system. I have to say that I like this skimmer much more. It's quieter and pulls all kinds of skimmate out of my tank. Highly recommended!!

The skimmer runs super quiet and is very easy to tune. I agree that the instructions are mostly useless. Very easy to clean as well. Leaves little to be desired. Very happy with this purchase!

I am using this skimmer on my 90gal mixed reef and could not be happier with the results. It pulls a lot of junk out of my tank.

The build quality of the skimmer seems good, and the pump is incredibly quiet. The skimmer is also easy to adjust by turning the blue tube attached to the side of it.

The instructions included with the unit are absolutely terrible, as with all Bubble Magus products. Youtube videos would be your best bet for installation if you need guidance.

BM lives up to its reputation for quality products at a good price with this skimmer. I would definitely recommend it.

The skimmer itself gets a 2 thumbs up but the installation instructions are a joke; it's obvious that the person that wrote it was Korean and used a Korean-American dictionary when they wrote it. Terrible directions;I had to go to You Tube and look at the videos they were so bad. I really suggest that BRS put out an installation video for us plug n play types.

This skimmer is honestly top of the line I've had it running for around 3 day's now on my heavily stocked reef, and it's pulling out the thickest skimmate I've ever seen my collection cup is almost half way filled with green sludge I'm going to have to start using a milk jug to collect the skimmate or order myself a Davey Jones Locker. Installation was a breeze had it up and running in less than 15 mins. Bulkreefsupply had to send me a replacement because the first nac-7 they sent me had a defective pump, but they where really good about replacing it this is my favorite company to order anything from and Lu in customer services rocks that kid has patients and is very knowladgeble. Overall I reccomend this to anyone looking to have a healthy clean tank!

I bought this skimmer about a year ago. It out performs the Tunze DOC-10 and the ETSS-600 that I had before the NAC-7. The only recommendation I would have is to throw away the meshwheel and stick with a needlewheel impellor. I went through 3-4 broken meshwheels and a pump due to restart issues before switching back to a needlewheel. I still get great skimmate with the needlewheel, never have a restart issue and this skimmer is so quiet, I forget it's running.

I have a 90 gallon DT with a 30 gallon sump. I replaced my Coralife 125 with this skimmer and I’m glad I did. This thing skims like a beast at an affordable price.

This skimmer replaces an Octopus Extreme 200 skimmer which really had no functional issues.

It easily fits in my skimmer chamber of my 30g sump for my 90g DT. Cleaning will be very easy since I can pull the entire skimmer out of the cabinet as one piece (as opposed to taking bits apart at a time with the Octx 200) adn then take it apart for a through cleaning.

Noise level is remarkably quiet if almost non-existent (I have sump inside a cabinet)!!! Comparable to my Eheim 1262 return pump. Main noise is from my overflow and my MP40.

Oh - after 24h break in - skimmate is comparable to my previous skimmer - it pulls great!!!
