  • Using two of these reliable units By Marc on 12/16/2014

Been using two of these for dosing calcium and alkalinity for 6 months now. The units are solid and reliable. I'm using the hamilton digital timers to control the dosing.
  • solid pump By acidblondie on 12/14/2014

Just added a third pump to dose vodka. I've had 2 others for over a year with no problems
  • Exactly what I needed. By Matt on 12/9/2014

Easy to set-up. Easy to calibrate. Works great with controllers for consistent dosing. I used 30 minutes to calibrate my pumps instead of the recommended 10 and I think I got a bit more accuracy with my dosing. Both were very close to the 1.1mL per minute rate, but not spot on so don't forget to calibrate! Very quiet operation and my tank is already more stable.
  • Very well built unit. By Gary on 12/7/2014

The pump is larger than what I expected, but very well built. The hose attachment fittings are secure and ridged. The tubing is supplied with each pump as well. They were recommended by another reefer that has used 3 pumps for over 3 years with no issues.
  • Got 3 for my tank By Sean on 12/4/2014

I got 3 of these for my tank (Alk, Cal, Mag). I wasn't sold on the reliability of the 3-in-one dosers. Since this equipment can potentially crash a tank, I went with what I felt was the safest solution. I have each of my 3 installed with digital timers.

I wished they had timers that were adjustable down to the second instead of just minute. It would really help people with smaller tanks.

Set up was easy and the product is solid. You can tell its well built all around.
  • great dosing pump By chefmur on 12/2/2014

I now have had these for several years works like a charm, hooked to my apex doses my BRS 3 part, never hear it running
  • Great pump By Cliff on 11/25/2014

I've been using these pumps for over a year with no issues whatsoever. I use them for Top Off as well as dosing. All around reliable pumps.
  • Don't really know By rgrbch47 on 11/16/2014

I got this pump, and got iy up and running Kalkwasser 24 hrs a day. I'm not surer if that's a smart thing to do or not, I have a 120 gal reef tank, and will monitor it closely an make adjustments accordingly. ut as far as a "Review" for the pump goes? I really like the setup and it's performance so far, beats the gallon milk jug and lift pump with knots tied in the tubing to get a decent drip. Good pump, basically a "Set it and forget it" type of pump
  • Works Well By Kevin on 11/12/2014

I have been running these for 3 years and just bought another. I have never had any issues and they work like a charm. In conjunction with my Reef Keeper Controller dosing is easy and I can spread it out over hours to not spike the PH too much.
  • Good, while it works, and somewhat loud By Matt on 10/29/2014

I have four of these pumps, two which have been in service for about 10 months, and two which I've been using for about 3 months. Overall, they function pretty well, while they last. They're louder than my MP40s, even inside a cabinet.

I would not buy them again. The first two, which have been dosing small amounts (~30ml/day) for less than a year, have both started making loud grinding noises. Unfortunately, I bought them a few months before I started using them, so they're both out of warranty. BRS offered to sell me replacements at a discount, but I'm not going to replace my dosing pumps every year.

I'm going to switch to the Neptune Apex DoS for the future.
