I have been using this test kit for about 6 years. Never had any problems. Seems to be accurate and easy to read. I would note that I can only compare it API test kits however.

I have this kit to check my RO system and I while I do like the straightforward reagent procedure, I do not like the "color matching" approach. I cannot really state with any confidence that that I can discern the fine color gradations on the chart.

I use this when setting up a new reef lets me know for sure how long and what kind of diatom growth I have and when it will most likely end!

I tired using Seachem's test for Silicates and it was a pain. I am a fan of Seachem's products just not there test kits. This test kit by Salifert is the best I have used. Buy this kit if you want an accurate easy test kit to use for Silicates
