Justin wouldn't recommend this product to a friend

Product states that it can hold on up to 1/2" glass, i found this not to be the case.

even with the most modest load they failed to hold on the walls of my standard 75G.

i ended up giving them away to a friend with a smaller tank and thinner walls. hopefully they work for him.

Great idea and is perfect for montis or anything that you want to mount to the sides of your tank. The only drawback is I have a 180gal. tank and the magnets barely hold on. If a fish bumps it or the coral gets much heavier, it will fall. I suggest a larger magnet for a stronger hold through thicker glass.

I like the epoxy coat on the magnets. I think as long as they don't slam together (take care of your magnets), these will last a long time.

The discs are the same as the other pure Caribsea Reef Sand mag disks and I like them also .

The disks are flat on both sides with no recessed area for the magnet so you will have to glue the magnets to the bottom of the disk. Any super glue gel works great with these.

5/5 I just wish the price was a little bit cheaper.

Got 8 of this disks. Great products. Mags holding very nice. The mags very small but can hold very good. I will buy more to finish my Zoa's backwall :))

i mount all my sps to these plugs now. some are as big around as a softball. and it holds them no problem.

works great for my acros, the frag is perfect. however the black magnet on the outside should not expose to salt water, or it will get rusty

these are great for light loving frags, can put the up higher this way than on my live rock

This product has allowed me to attach encrusting monti's to my over flows and corals in places on the sides and back glass otherwise unable to creating a more realistic reef environment definately plan to order more
