Needle valve sticking solution By Regulator on 2/21/14Regulator would recommend this product to a friendThis is actually a great product contrary to the first review. I have been using mine for over a year now and I bought it used. Naturally CO2 is corrosive so the needle valve may get suck in the open position over time. There is a simple solution to this, disassemble the needle valve housing and apply a couple drops of vegetable oil around the seat of the needle and on the needle it's self. ( I called the manufacturer and this is what they told me.) WARNING: DO NOT USE PETROLEUM BASED OIL. I have not had any problems since doing this.
Failed after 6 months By Actuary on 9/10/12Actuary wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI figured I should play it safe with my calcium reactor by going with what I assumed was a relatively high-end and quality product. After 6 months (just outside of their warranty) the valve no longer closes. Thankfully I had my bubble counter dialed in pretty well so my pH didn't crash too badly in the reactor which could have destroyed my SPS reef. Guess I'll try to find an alternative regulator now and toss this $145 chunk of metal.
