  • So glad I bought it !! By on 11/25/2016

I bought the 36", 6 bulb ATI dimmable, to put over a 65 gallon, red sea, reef tank. I love it! I wanted full coverage and strength for my size tank, and the ability to have two more bulb types to incorporate into the system. My corals and especially my anemones have really responded super well, compared to the older LEDS I had.. By the way it has 2 channels, not three as I thought.. One channel controls 2 bulbs, and the other controls 4 bulbs. That's ok. The lighting is strong, I am only running about 60%, 18" above the water for now. My bubble tip anemones are in heaven.. This fixture also allows for dawn to dusk gradual changes, which seems so much healthier and less stressful all the inhabitants. It is well designed, the fans are dead silent. A high quality product.. I love BRS service, videos, and product lines....
The controllability of the dimible model is super easy

I bought the 6 bulb fixture to replace a Razor on my mixed reef (SPS heavy) 40 breeder. I bought one coral plus, one aquablue special, one purple plus one actinic and two blue pluses. I put my par meter under it and cringed at the coral nuking output. I immediately ordered another actinic and couldn't be happier with the PAR output and color blend. I can keep SPS on the sand bed in the center 1/3 of the tank easily. My corals look unbelievably better than they did under my old lighting.

I have the 8 bulb version on my 4 ft. 120 gallon reef tank. The build quality on this light is second to none. Very sleek and sexy. The only thing I would change is add a controller onboard or the ability to turn on the bulbs in more stages than 2 bulbs and 6 bulbs. Not a big deal, but it would be nice. I will definitely be sticking to ATI for t-5 fixtures.
