Ever since I started using Phos-Ban and changing it once a month, I have had no troubles with phosphates in my tank at all. It works as advertised and I will continue to buy it and recommend it to others.

With the exception of having to dial in the flow on my reactor to avoid the fine dust of the Phos-Ban it works just great and has already reduced my Phosphates in half.

Works better than the BRS brand. The BRS brand has more fine particles that plug up the filter mesh quicker.

I have tried many others, This one is the best in my 150 media reactor. Tumbles without channeling.

I have not used GFO before, and had set my expectations based on the videos I had seen of GFO tumbling in a reactor. I think that would turn this into powder and it would all end up in the tank. The 1/3 lb container included a fine mesh nylon bag, which is perfect for this. I dumped 1/3 of this (50 grams) into the bag and put the bag in a canister filter and in less than two days the phosphates were no longer detectable with a Salifert kit. There is almost no algae in the tank after one week. This is good stuff.
