    This substrate is great for thin sand beds in reef tanks or refugiums, however, BRS must have made a pricing mistakeon the product because you can buy the very same product in 20lb for $24 everywhere else. I was goint to buy 160lbs from BRS, but checked the pricing and bought elsewhere.

    I like the look of fine sands but was worried about particles floating around. Sand all settled and looks great. Great texture for the bottom of the tank.

    I purchased my Fiji Pink Arag-Alive Reef Sand from my local fish store in a "package deal" along with 120 gal & 40 gal tanks. Bulk Reef did not carry this product at the time. List price at the local dealer was over $30.00. BRF's evryday price beat my discounted price per bag by $9.00 a bag!
    This reef sand is a great product. The sand was clean which is important as washing will destroy much of the bacterial feature. Don't let "pink" throw you off. This sand has a very natural look.
    Cycle time was reduced and I had no ammonia or nitrite spikes [tested every other day during cycle.
    PS Our orange spotted goby loves this stuff.
