Had a pretty good algae bloom in reef tank 1yo. Never used GFO decided to give it a try in my sump sock. Day two seeing significant results oh and new sock was green after day one.

I got this from a friend that had taken down his tank. I am overall satisfied with the product itself, but the instructions were confusing and I believe i used way too much after the initial period. I got some clarity on it with the calculator. My pump went up on me for a couple days and i started noticing algae growth almost instantly. Got a new pump and did a water change and the GFO did the rest.

This GFO works well and is very cost efficient way of removing PO4 in any aquarium. No problems does exactly what it is supposed to do.
I do find that it has more fines to be rinsed than some higher quality GFO (RowaPhos).

Although I find the need to flush BRS gfo more than others I have used in the past, the cost difference more than makes up. Another solid product out of the BRS team!

Have been using for about 3 weeks so far with no change in my phosphate level. Doing water changes also. Need more time to evaluate not sure about recommending yet. Phos Ban maybe better.

i am running my gfo thought the BRS Dual Reactor its amazing and completely worth it buy it you will not regret it. fixed my tank and all the algae problems it had.
