  • Easy to use and does its job. By on 4/10/2017

Just as the title says. Once I raised my levels to where I wanted them and a little tinkering to get dosage right it keeps my Cal and all right where I want em.
  • Great By on 3/21/2017

Great at maintaining my levels with my ato. Clears pretty fast
  • Kalkwasser By on 1/24/2017

    Great stuff, good price.
  • I thought all kalkwasser was the same By on 12/31/2016

I thought all kalkwasser was the same, but I was wrong. Usually after settling overnight there is a layer of undissolved material on the bottom of the bucket, but with this stuff there's practically nothing. Pretty impressive for a low cost option.
  • Cheap and easy By on 9/26/2016

A cheap and easy way to keep my calcium and alkalinity where I want it using my ATO.
  • It's Kalk -- It works! By on 8/19/2016

Like all BRS products it's a solid choice which isn't overpriced and works great. I'm running a small tank with frags only at the moment so I'm running 1 TSP per gallon and tuning exactly how much to put into my ATO -- So far, 1 TSP seems just fine.
  • Great Product By on 4/29/2016

I've had a small 24 gallon reef nano aquarium for years with varying success. Keeping PH above 8.0 was impossible. No sooner would I get it there and the next day it would be 7.6 or 7.8. Adding supplements was just a temporary solution. Alk was always 12 or higher. Calcium was ok, but with supplements.
I happened to see Ryan's video on kalk and using a dripper system and I thought I would give it a try. I bought a 5 gallon aquarium (the only size that would fit in my stand) and made a sump out of it with several baffles, just like the big boys do. Adding an overflow box with a drain and pump to push the water back into the main aquarium made it work. I drip Kalk into the sump using a container that holds over a gallon of water. Not only does this help with evaporation but PH is now a steady 8.2, Alk is at 10 and calcium at 420.
In the two weeks I've been using this, my corals have opened dramatically and I can see growth.
I wish I had done this years ago. Thanks Ryan for posting all those videos.
