Don't waste your time looking around. I tried that and ended up using some 1/2 inch netting I had laying around. Thought I could save a buck and it was good enough. Cost me a $60 Wrasse. This stuff (1/4) is perfect.

If appearance is important than nothing is cleaner than a custom made screen . it allows your system to breath and does not reduce light penetration. Very pleased and good luck trying to find a better option.

I used this on my 90 gallon to make two tops so that my wrasse's didn't jump. It worked so well that I just purchased it again for my upgrade. Highly recommend it. Only issue i have is it comes packaged rolled up or folded which makes a crease. Don't know how that can be fixed but still a great product.

This stuff is great as it transmits light very well and will prevent loss of jumpers. This is a great choice for those looking to build a custom sized top at a good price.

I made a top for my 80 gallon frag housing jumping fish. I was actually going to use shrimp netting but it would have cost a lot more. This netting doesn't block any lighting and keeps the kids in the coral. Also I ordered this on a Thursday and received it on Saturday. Very fast service!!

I used eggcrate previously over tanks and it still allowed for smaller fish to suicide, the 1/4 netting keeps smaller guys like firefish inside your tank. It also blocks a heck of a lot less light then egg crate.
