  • Doing it wrong for so long! By Adam on 11/18/2014

I have been using the wrong salt mix for years and didn't even know it. I always thought i was getting a good product at a great price but it turns out that it was just cheap crap!!! I obtained a small bucket (55gal) in a kit i bought from BRS and figured i'd give it a try. I was amazed at first on how fast and clear it dissolved in my mixing bucket which was the first indicator it was far superior then what i have been using. After a few water changes using Red Sea, there was a noticeable difference with the corals as well. Every thing just seemed happier with better colors and polyp extension I haven't seen using the other cheaper brand. Will never use the cheap stuff ever again!!!
  • Can't get any Better! By Randy on 10/23/2014

What can I say, this is a great product. I set it up for my 80gal tank, mixed it up for a while and pumped it in. Everything came out perfect, no cloudiness. Love it and recommend it!
  • Great, Easy To Mix By Daniel on 9/17/2014

The weight to water volume guidelines are spot-on with no precipitates. Mixes quickly and easily and offers just the right water parameters.
  • Great salt By Orlando on 9/17/2014

Mixes fast and clear and ends up with good levels.
  • dissolves super quick By Kevin on 8/23/2014

this is the only salt I will use, it dissolves and turns clear in about 15 mins making water changes painless. and I can trust the trace elements Cal Mag Alk will be inline.
  • Love it By mfief on 6/26/2014

I havent ever used any other salt mix. Why should I? It mixes easily and my numbers stay consistent week after week. A good friend recommended it to me when I started and I would recommend it as well
  • Great salt By Albert on 6/6/2014

The salt works really well. The values are as advertised and the salt mixes quickly. However, keep the saltwater agitated, in my experience, precipitates form if you allow the salt to sit too long undisturbed. I would definitely recommend this salt to anyone who is looking for a quality salt for their reef tank!
  • Works Great By cvolkers on 6/5/2014

I changed from Instant Ocean, it left scum or a film in my bucket. This so far is quick and easy, no film.
  • READ THE DIRECTIONS PEOPLE!!!! By jason on 5/29/2014

IM SEEING ALL THESE NEGATIVE POSTS ABOUT CLOUDY WATER!! WELL FIRST OFF THIS MIX CAN NOT MIX LONGER THAN 4 HOURS PEOPLE. IF IT DOES THE CALCIUM LEVELS DROP DRAMATICALLY AND I MEAN BIG TIME. HEAT YOUR WATER, ME I GO TO 76 DEGREES THEN I ADD MY SALT AND I MIX FOR 3 HOURS. TURN OFF ALL PUMPS LET SIT FOR ANOTHER HOUR AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO CLOUDINESS. NONE. IF YOU DON'T FOLLOW DIRECTIONS THEN YOU SHOULDN'T KEEP A REEF TANK IN THE FIRST PLACE IMO.
  • Great Salt Mix By Maxwell on 5/19/2014

I switched to this product from Instant Ocean and don't regret it at all. Only negative I see is that the water is kind of cloudy in my bucket. I mix the water for 2 hours and let it sit for 24 hours until the water change. However, the water in my tank is crystal clear so I guess it clears up. I also have had problems with Instant Ocean clumping up, has not happened since the switch.
