i have had many bubble magus products in the past and have been very happy. Well that was until this purchase. The atman pump on this reactor runs very hot ! The co2 recirculation on the unit is very noisy.You hear the excess co2 pass through the recirculation pump. If this was run in a fish room where noise is not a problem then it may do. The major flaw in this reactor is that the connections(blue PVC parts) are permanently put together with pvc glue. This mean when the pump overheats and fails or the pump cover develops a leak you have to replace the whole assembly because it cannot be taken apart.
When i needed to get the whole assembly i was referred by BRS to the distributer because BRS does not stock replacement parts for this reactor. All warranty services are to go through with distributer seaside aquatics. Only to find out they dont stock the pump kit for these reactors. the only way to get service is to send the whole pump assembly back to seaside aquatics.
