Bulkhead Overflow Strainers

  • Better than DIY By Starrme on 4/29/13

I like the look and I am happier with these than with my DIY netting/strainer, especially for the price. I do wish there was a 1.5" slip strainer available.
  • Nice By Warren on 4/23/13

Nice little strainer. Does the job
  • Just right By Trojan on 4/7/13

So I am using these as a strainer for my dorso drain piping. It will secure the pipe from letting any of my critters going down the pipe.
  • Really Nice By Kevin on 5/2/12

Honestly there isn't much to say about a plastic piece that is a couple of dollars; but I will say that I am pleasantly surprised with how sturdy it is and how it feels like it is made quite well; it isn't a cheap product because it is cheaply made. If you are looking for a strainer, I would certainly recommend this one to anyone.
  • heavy duty strainers By Corbin on 3/29/12

Strainers are a must have in any tank that has living thing which move. These are excellent units and if you slip a block of foam over them they are perfect for a nursery tank. Placing anything in the way of water flow will slow it down, so make sure you've properly over-sized your drains.
  • hard to beat the price of this high quality strainer By Aaron on 3/8/12

I searched the internet looking for strainers. I ended up buying the 1" bulkhead slip strainers and they are very heavy duty. No cheap plastic here. I'm sure it will last for many years
  • Had to modify but it works By Bob on 7/9/11

The strainers reduced the flow in my 180 too much. I had to cut a few ribs off to increase the flow without making the opening big enough for snails to get in. Works great though. Snails crawl all over it but can't get into the drain.
