Carl would recommend this product to a friendI've been using a 1048 for the last 6 years and with my latest build I'm using two of these 1260s. Their performance is just as I would expect from Eheim and can be summed up in one word: Reliability. Opening the box i'm faced with the familiar style and rock solid build of the Eheim series. When installed the first flick of the switch these puppies jump to life and effortlessly provide my system with powerful, quiet flow that has been their task 24/7 for the last year. The only time they shut down is for a quick pre-filter cleaning once a month. At the one year mark I decided to pull the impellers out to inspect if they needed maintenance and found no buildup (at least in my system) to facilitate extra attention at that time so back into action they went. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good pump in this category and I plan to purchase more or larger units when the hobby calls! -

Jason would recommend this product to a friendI initially purchased a Magdrive 5 having used those pumps in the past thinking that was the way to go. The Eheim are much quieter and more efficient. Like most things in reefing, the little extra you pay goes a long ways and is worth it. -
