    Purchased this to use for water changes and as a main thermometer in my tank. (The long cord makes it super easy to move from my tank to the new water.) It matched up with my old thermometer's read out so I trust that it is right. It's nice to have big numbers that are easy to read.

    As someone else mentioned a backlight feature that could be turned on or off would be nice.

    My thermometer consistently reads 4 degrees higher than my actual water temp. My heaters are set to 78 degrees and I've verified that other thermometers read the temperature at 78. However this JBJ thermometer reads at 82.1.

    I think I have been through 5 of these within a few years. I have one that does not work anymore and 2 that are about 10 degrees off. It seems to lose its calibration and there is no way to reset them. I think I will try another brand for my next thermometer. It was great when it work correctly and a good price. I just wish the usable life lasted a little longer.
