Almost all drinking water pressure tanks will have a standard male threaded nipple on the tank which allows water to enter and exit the tank. The RO Tank Shut Off Valve will let you turn the water feed on and off from the pressure tank. By simply screwing onto the pressure tank you now have full control over the flow in and out of the tank. If you do not have this shut off valve you would need to drain all the water out of the tank before unhooking the tubing from the tank which can waste a lot of water.
Most standard RO units will use 1/4" RO tubing however in some rare instances you may need a shut off valve that accommodates 3/8" tubing which we carry as well. Simply just measure the outside diameter of your tubing if you are not sure what size you are working with.

Works Great By ww_big_al on 4/13/2013ww_big_al would recommend this product to a friendNeed a quick shut off valve for my RO tank and these appear to be high quality. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the description is confusing. They are identified a 1/4" inch or 3/8" fittings. They are refer to the ploy tube size. Both have 1/4" FNPT for the RO tank. The descriptions need to ID that fact. I ordered the 1/4" fist but of course they didn't fit me 3/8" tubing.
Perfect replacement! By Oscar on 8/7/2012Oscar would recommend this product to a friendMy old connection to the RO tank had no valve. This is perfect. Very solidly built and works perfectly without any leaks!
