5" canister has low profile By Mitch on 7/13/2014Mitch would recommend this product to a friendI bought the 5" canister for holding carbon and plumbed it inline with my return pump line inbetween my pump and water outlet. The low profile made it possible to mount it right to the pvc pipe in my cabinet right above my return pump. The only problem is I can't find a refillable cartridge for it anywhere so I just through a bag of GAC into it.
Great customer service By Manfred on 2/18/2014Manfred would recommend this product to a friendI upgraded my RODI system and part of that upgrade was going to a 5 stage system rather than the 4 stage I had. The canister was leaking slightly where it screwed onto the top. I called BRS and they got a replacement out to me the same day. Let's me know I can buy here without worrying about return of defective equipment. That us important when you are working on a 180 gallon reef tank. Thanks for the great customer service BRS.
Nice Replacement Canisters By Marty on 12/11/2013Marty would recommend this product to a friendI used this to add a stage to an existing non-BRS ro filter. Quality was much higher and very obvious compared to the existing canisters. One word of caution if you are adding a stage like me. The outlets may not line up, so go ahead and replace all canisters. I will be changing out the cheaper canisters soon.
Very Durable By Sven on 11/7/2013Sven would recommend this product to a friendThese are good quality canisters... I accidentally over boosted my pressure to around 115 PSI and these held with no issues.
I have no need to be concerned of leaks from these canisters anymore!
Flexibility By hans on 10/17/2013hans would recommend this product to a friendGreat price. Very easy to install and has a multitude of uses. Also the fact that it is clear makes it easy to see when the media of choice needs to be changed
easy to use By Nish on 10/16/2013Nish would recommend this product to a friendI ordered this with few other things, i was surprised that it didnt come with Mur-lock which I had to go to Lows and get it. I'm new to this hobby but dont know what anyone would order this canister without the Mur-Lock. I think it should be included with the canister.

Great Canister - highly recommend 10" Reverse Osmosis Canister 1/4” Ports By Kenneth on 2/17/2013Kenneth would recommend this product to a friendI started off by purchasing one to add an extra DI filter to my systems. I was extremely impress with the quality and price of the canister, so much that i ended up by an additional one to add a ChlorPlus 10 Carbon Block Chloramines filter. The canister are high quality and do not see any blemish and they work like a charm. Thanks BRS for having all the parts to help me upgrade my RO/DI system. As well would like to thank you for all the information / videos you provided to make the an easy task. You have a customer for life.
Great canister By Jeremy on 2/11/2013Jeremy would recommend this product to a friendBought one to replace one of the stages on my RODI after an incident led to the original cracking, High Quality product with nothing to complain about.
Great quality - add some filter stages By Sean on 11/20/2012Sean would recommend this product to a friendAs good or better quality than my big brand name RODI's factory canisters. No leaks, no blow-by. All components from BRS that should fit together nicely do so ( these, the screws, the shelves, the coupler pieces, etc) to make a nice looking, well functioning system that looks just as good as the factory built portion.
I added 2 more pre-filter stages to make my 5 stage a 7 stage - originally the system used (1) 0.5u sed filter and (1) 0.5u carbon block - The sed filters at 0.5u are expensive and clog quickly. The Carbon blocks - same thing, except if you let your carbon block become exhausted, your RO membrane can be damaged from Chlorine break thru.
I changed the setup to go thru (a) 5u Puritex Sed Filter, (b) 5u Matricx CTO carbon block, (c) 0.6u Puritex Sed Filter, (d) 0.5u Matrikx CTO carbon block.
Now the inexpensive 5u sed and carbon block stages take the brunt of sediment and chlorine, and I change them 3-4 times for each time I change the more expensive 0.6u/0.5u sed/carbon block filters, with the peace of mind of knowing that things are filtered before the booster pump and filtered better before they hit the RO, as well as having double carbon block filters to protect the dual membranes from devastating Chlorine.

I have a BRS 5 stage (now converted into 6 stages) RO/DI, can the 20" canisters be screwed onto the 10" tops, and will it operate correctly with the 1/4 plumbing as I see the 20" canister tops have 3/4" in/out?
Bulk Reef Supply Hi Gil,
Unfortunately its not that easy :-) The entire canister (top and bottom) will need to be swapped out as the the bottoms won't thread onto the tops for the smaller sizes.

Does it come with the screws to mount to the brackets?
I ordered the bracket, does it come with bracket?
If not, please advise?
Bulk Reef Supply Hi Justin,
It does not come with screws or brackets. Those can be purchased either at the hardware store or here at the link below:

BRS 5 Stage PLUS RO/DI System - 75GPD
I need the canister size for this unit please they cracked.
Bulk Reef Supply Hi Amber,
The 10" canister with 1/4" ports is the one we use with our RO/DI units.

I have a kent Maxxima system with three canisters and want to add a fourth (sediment-5micron-1 or 0.6 micron-RO-resin). I am ordering a 1/4"/10inch cartridge; what else do I need?
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Brian,
Assuming that you are just putting this separate canister on its own bracket separate from the rest of the unit, your going to want a pair of fittings of 1/4" NPT x 1/4" push connect fittings (straight, elbow, whatever your preference). Assuming you want to mount it to the wall or something you would also want to pick up a bracket as well. Don't forget the filter you plan to put in it as well!

I'm looking for a replacement canister for a Pure Flo II RODI unit that cracked. Which canister would fit the unit?
Bulk Reef Supply HI Scott,
Most likely the canister you are trying to replace is a 10" canister with 1/4" ports. That said though, different canister manufacturers have different thickness brackets, canister tops, etc so while it will hold the cartridge and the plumbing should connect just fine, it may not work to put it on the same bracket.

I have a Coralife Pure-Flo II RO Unit and the canister just broke, will these 10 in canisters fit that unit? I have a extra canisters but they don't fit, the threads don't line up so i am curious about these
Bulk Reef Supply Hi Micheal,
I would have to assume that these canisters will not directly replace the canisters on your current RO unit. You should be able to unscrew the entire canister assembly from the bracket and install the new canister with lid. You should be able to reuse the fittings as long at they are 1/4" NPT threads.
This is the canister you will need to replace your broken one.

I have a 4 stage BRS RODI system and I would like to add another carbon filter, what parts do I need for me to do this?
Bulk Reef Supply Hi John,
The simplest thing to do would be to convert your 4 stage RO/DI system into a 4 stage only system by rerouting the existing tubes (and removing the DI cartridge and replacing it with the second carbon) so that water travels through all 3 cartridges and then to the RO membrane. Then simply add on the "single DI" to add the DI stage back in. This way it comes out cheaper then purchasing all the parts individually and its a lot less work.
