Scubaman would recommend this product to a friendThe Reef Octopus 200 rocks!! My old skimmer of 10 years just wasn't doing the job so I did quite a few searches and inquiries with other reefers about a reasonably priced, efficient skimmer. The skimmer of choice was the RO.
I put it in the sump of my 180 and it's polishing the water; I can tell the difference in the 24 hrs its been in service. The picture doesn't do justice to the size. Check your space requirements and if it fits get it NOW! -

Ben would recommend this product to a friendI come from a nano hobbyist background, who recently upgraded to a 175 gallon set up and wanted a great skimmer for a great price, I came across this skimmer and haven't read a bad review so I thought I would give it a shot, this being my first skimmer I really didn't know what to expect. Let me tell you it is awesome, it was a little noisy at first, but after the pump broke in, I can barely hear it. and it pulls "gunk" out like crazy, very easy to dial in with the gate valve, literally had it dialed in within 2 minutes... also very easy to set up. I live neat BRS, so I could pick it up same day as I ordered it, and the service received once I got there was fantastic... Will definitely buy from them again. -

Eddy would recommend this product to a friendIts a very nice skimmer. Sicce pump is questionable. If you check online you will see that this pump has problem starting up. The pump will just keep on humming without turning the pin wheel. I need to order a spare pump to keep my skimmer running, while I am servicing the other pump, which is like every 2 weeks. If my second pump failed also, I think I will go with the vertex, which I regret that I didn't get in the first place. -

The Diablo XS 200 Protein Skimmer is powered by the high performance Italian Sicce pump. The skimmer has a gate valve output which allows for more adjustment of the skimmer compared to ball valves and the old wedge pipe. The Sicce PSK1000 pump has an improved star wheel impeller. They are much more advanced with a digital circuit to control startup direction and speed, ultra low noise and huge air draw numbers.
Features:
- Modified cone neck design designed for easy transition of micro bubbles into cup
- Produces up to 23scfh of air pull using the provided pinwheel impeller. (Air results will vary depending on aquarium setup.)
- Each Sicce pump draws less than 30 Watts of electricity.
- Collection cup has a quick release neck for easy removal for cleaning. ½" of clearance to remove the cup.
- Diablo XS skimmer uses metric plumbing parts.
