Kirk would recommend this product to a friendThis Hydrometer has outlasted 2 floating hydrometers. For 3+ years I have had no trouble with it, as with all swingarm washing it out (with RO water for me) after every use is a must..
On the down side this did not work for the permanent install and the digital thermometer stopped working. -

Aquaman75 wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI love BFS so dont take this the wrong way but this Hydrometer is a piece of crap and any other hydrometer brand is too. after a few months they dont give accurate reading. So Just go back one page and buy the refractometer with calibration solution -

Randal would recommend this product to a friendI actually own this product and I think that it is pretty good. I never encountered a problem with consistent readings and the thermometer is a nice touch. Just make sure before and after every use you rinse it with ro/di water with out salt. -

azcatsfan wouldn't recommend this product to a friendThis is the best store on the net. So I am only reviewing this product and not the store. This thing is okay if you are not OCD like me. To hard to get a consistent reading. Go with a refractor. I fee like I wasted my ten bucks on this thing. It may be fine for you if you are not picky about the hassle involved to get a good reading every time.

The Red Sea Hydrometer provides the unique integration of a hydrometer and thermometer, delivering a reasonable measurement of specific gravity (salinity) in an aquarium. Design enables hydrometer to be used periodically for measurements or to be installed permanently within the aquarium or sump. Accurate measurements at the right temperature are insured by the inclusion of the digital thermometer in the design. Hydrometer casing is bubble-proof for easy reading.

Specific Gravity Range: 1.010 to 1.030
