Too much pump, wrong data from BRS. By Clayton on 4/21/13
Clayton wouldn't recommend this product to a friendCalled BRS to ask which model to select. I went with this pump because BRS claimed it operates on 150 watts. Wrong! Try 290 watts!! Not even in the same ballpark. The pump runs well, but its twice the pump I need and it consumes tons of energy. It's working well, but I wish BRS got this data correct because if they had I would have bought the 150. This is the first and only disappointment I've had with BRS. :( -
Good quality pump By Awais on 4/18/13
Awais would recommend this product to a friendI brought this 4 months ago and they are good sturdy and seems like they will last a long time. 2 year parts and labor warranty is certainly helpful.
Best bang for the buck. -
best pump for pressure By illya on 4/4/13
illya would recommend this product to a friendI bought this pump for a very restrictive setup, Basically a 1" line feeding 8 half inch lines so i was needing a lot of pressure and flow.
It didn't quite give me the power i hoped for with it, but it was acceptable. I tried the reeflo tiger shark and it was too much power, so i tried the reeflo dart/snapper hybrid. It was completely silent but had less water under pressure than the panworld.
I have since ordered another panworld 200 which i will split the 8 lines in 2 and run 4 on each pump. That will be more than i need but nice to have the ability to crank up the flow when needed for cleaning.
It is a very cool running pump, don't let it suck any air though or it will get so hot it may shut itself off.
It is also very quiet., it would be suitable for setup in the house no problem without a bothersome noise level. -
Reliable and Quiet By Christopher on 9/1/12
Christopher would recommend this product to a friendThis pump has never once had any issues. Runs extremely quiet. Been running it for two years now and there is no sign of rust, or lose of power. Also the extension cord length is extremely generous. -
Great Pump By Lew on 8/7/12
Lew would recommend this product to a friendI have this pump running my 90G in my living room and the sump and pump are in the basement. Never a problem with the distance or anything. Very quiet and efficient. I would definitely recommend this pump. -
Great Buy! By JonnyRoe on 10/27/11
JonnyRoe would recommend this product to a friendQuiet, reliable, great value, yet I experienced more heat transfer than expected = +5-8F. I always had the pump valve at half flow rate, so this could have caused extra resistance and heat. -
Great Buy By JonnyRoe on 10/27/11
JonnyRoe would recommend this product to a friendQuiet, Reliable, great value, overall great, only heats water up noticeably = 5-8F -
Quiet By Milford on 10/17/11
Milford would recommend this product to a friendi have this pump in my basement returning water to my 180gal.saltwater tank to the floor above.Sump has about another 100 gal. And this pump delivers plenty of flow as well as beingprtty quiet. When in the basement I can't hear the pump over the flow of the water in the sump! Very pleased... -
Great! Quiet and low heat transfer. By Chuck on 11/8/09
Chuck would recommend this product to a friendI replaced my PCX-100 (Mak 5) pump with the Pan World 200 PS. The Pan World is much quieter than the PCX and heat transfer to the water is lower. In addition, I believe the Pan World is superior in construction to allow ease of maintenance.
When I first received the pump, it was damaged and Bulk Reef Supply was great in working with Pan World to get a replacement pump to me. All in all, I could not be happier with the equipment or the customer service.

Hi, your site says the draw on this pump is 150W but it appears all other sites including the manufacturer says 290W. Is this just a typo on your end or is it a different generation that is more efficient?
Bulk Reef Supply Hi Jonathan,
The power requirements will vary depending on conditions, head pressure, etc, but the consumption on this particular pump should not exceed 150 watts. The pump pulls in about 290 watts but outputs about 150watts. The actual power consumption should not exceed the difference between the two.
Pan World makes a good quality, low to medium flow, seal-free centrifugal pump engineered for high performance and trouble-free operation. All Pan World pumps feature magnetic drives, seal free bearings and come with a two year parts and labor guarantee.
ATTENTION: Maintain the life of your pump.
99% of all pump failures and broken impellers are caused by foreign objects (snails, sand, gravel, hermit crabs, etc.) entering the pump housing. Pumps damaged by foreign objects are NOT covered under any warranty and are expensive to fix or replace. To prevent damage to your pump, we suggest using a bulkhead strainer on the intake bulkhead to reduce the possibility of a foreign object entering the pump. A variety of strainers from 1/2” to 2” are available at BulkReefSupply.com.
