Great sump By Will on 2/23/2011Will would recommend this product to a friendVery easy sump to set up. Very well made and logical layout. Using sump for 55 gal. reef, it has plenty of room to place heater, skimmer, 2 reactor pumps and return pump. Also has plenty of reserve capacity for power outs (sump does not overflow, not even close). Very happy with this purchase!

With a open sump without baffles and stages, does the water still g
et good filtration?
Bulk Reef Supply Hi Ricky,
Filtration really just depends on the equipment you put in the sump. The baffles don't actually increase the filtration at all but are used mostly just to regulate the water level of the previous chamber. I personally prefer the more open sumps myself because it gives you more flexibility to maneuver your equipment where you want it.
