Product Questions

Can this be configured for a fresh water aquascape tank ?
If so any suggestions for media, lighting, add ones etc
Regards
Question by: Terry on Mar 30, 2019, 12:06 PM
Hey there-

Thank you for reaching out to us! This can make for a great planted freshwater tank. For media I would recommend a solid planted substrate, with ADA amazonia being my personal favorite (I would go for the power-type as the smaller grain size will give your aquarium a larger feeling). For lighting I have been a big fan of the Kessil Tuna Suns for my planted tanks with the new X-series having separate amber and red channels that make for very realistic sunrises/sunsets. Otherwise the Sun Blaze would be the most budget-friendly option and even come with 6500k bulbs included. No other add ones or media are required.

Have a great day! :)

Hey Guys, I recently purchased this model tank, and was curious how long the cycling should take? The store i went to said i could add fish as soon as 1-2 weeks....

I dont want to harm any new inhabitants. How long should I wait to put in, lets say, a clownfish?
Question by: Spencer K on Jan 7, 2019, 9:24 PM
Thank you for reaching out to Bulk Reef Supply! On average it takes a full month to cycle a tank. There are products that claim to cycle a tank faster but I would still wait the full month to be safe.Testing your water throughout the cycle is a great way to closer monitor if it is safe for livestock or not. You will want to wait on adding livestock until there is no longer ammonia or nitrites present. I hope this was helpful. Please reach back out if you have any further questions!

What’s the difference between the fusion series and the others?
Question by: Bob baylis on Oct 28, 2017, 3:35 PM
Hey there,

The Fusion series is sort of the standard sizes and dimensions. The SR series stands for Shallow Reef and features tanks with shorter heights which can be easier to aquascape and light. The Lagoon tanks have a notably wider front to back profile and are even shallower, making great shallow lagoon tanks.

Hope this helps!
