Accurate and Consistent. Mercury wins!! By Albert on 8/1/2017Albert would recommend this product to a friendThe above 2-star review is accurate. But that doesn't mean that this thing isn't awesome nor that it doesn't do its job. Is it in Celcius? Yes. If your reef is consistently stable you shouldn't need to have a conversion chart, I know that my tank needs to be at 25.5C and if its there, I'm ok. If it's not then I have to whip out the phone to convert. That said I dont use this in my tank all the time. I use this as a reference to calibrate my other thermometers and to add its reading into an average that I have used to get a general idea of what my thermometers report compared to one another. Its built like a tank so you remove the risk of glass cracking and mercury getting into your water.
Just ok By Reefgeek01 on 2/3/2017Reefgeek01 wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI didn't realize it was in Celsius we are in the U.S. I have to look up a converter to Fahrenheit on my phone every time I look at it. It should come with a conversion chart that is water proof I could keep in my fish room. It is also hard to read. Need a magnifying glass to get an accurate read and I have great eye site. Also just realized it doesn't say it accuracy error rate :(
