  • Great performance with oversized pump By Ellery on 3/15/2014

I really like this setup but over time when the biopellets get small enough they can still clog on the upper plate. But that is almost the same with every other design with a bottom up flow anyways. What I really liked was the sicce pump was well oversized to provide more than enough flow to keep all the pellets from clumping over time. I have never set it more the the min setting since it would be way too much IMO. Been using this for 2 years in conjunction with a BRS Dual Reactor to bring my pellet volume as close to 1.5 L for my 300 gallon system.

This reactor really does wonders. tumbles media perfectly! and with an adjustable pump, what else could I ask for? It is very compact in my sump, fits just about anywhere nothing else would have! Nice for lowered maintenance, only requires topping up the pellets occasionally!
  • works great By Richard on 10/5/2011

Starting with the biopellets and got this reactor after lot of research and very happy with it. It doesnt take up a lot of room in sump and basically just had to take it out of box insert pellets and ready to go. Pump is easy to adjust for more or less tumble and it keeps them moving so they dont clump up. Defantely believe best reactor out there and easiest to use.
