  • Cracks easly By FishOnTheFloor on 9/11/2014

Long story short; Someone bought this for me, it cracked 4 months in. I called JBJ they sent a replacement, that one leaked, they sent me a replacement, that one had a scratch on the front. I gave up. Ended up buying a $40 petco tank and at least this one can keep itself together
  • Poor quality product from JBJ and complete lack of customer service from JBJ as well. By Jeff on 7/17/2014

First off in no way is BRS to blame for any of this, I have nothing but praise for BRS and its customer service.

I have had this tank up and running for two years. The past few months have been a nightmare with the lighting system. I was down to 5 out of 25 of the white LED's working and the dawn/dusk and lunar lights would flicker like crazy when they were supposed to be off. I attempted to contact JBJ several times (4 emails, 3 telephone calls) but apparently nobody actually works there. Nobody to answer the phone or emails. The replacement lights were $80 (per 5 led strip which there are 5 total strips) The lighting it self wasn't all that spectacular to begin with and I had minimal coral growth from the start. I ended up replacing the whole hood with the maxspect r420r and what a difference. I have already noticed corals responding very well to the new lighting. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of JBJ products in general.
  • Great starter but will not last. By Craker on 8/20/2012

4 months in and pump stopped working dusk to dawn lights work when they feel like it, very thin glass
  • I like it - but it could be much better By Steve on 7/3/2012

This is my first all-in-one nano tank such as this. Had a hard time deciding between the JBJ Nanocube and the Coralife/Oceanic Biocube. One small scratch in the front of the tank when it arrived. The water pumps are cheap and one of them rattles pretty bad when it turns on. So, you are probably going to end up spending more money to replace them with something quiet. Also - the sponge is worthless. Better to take it out and use filter floss. The media basket is a pain to get the cover slid back on. When you put the stand together you find many things that don't line up quite the way they should. The access cover doesn't sit right so it blocks all the light - a little creeps through - it is straight and the opening it is trying to cover is curved. The lighting is pretty awesome though. Pretty good bang for the buck. Just wish the rest of the tank matched the quality of the lights. I have only had it 1 month, but hopefully the lights last as long as they say they are supposed to - 50,000 hours or around 10 years.
  • it worked for a week By greg on 4/13/2012

the tank worked exellent for a week and then the dusk to dawn leds went out BRS told me to call JBJ to get it fixed know telling how long it will take to get new leds thanks BRS
  • Great package By mac on 1/10/2012

Had big tanks in the past, but wanted something smaller this time. Had it for a month now and I love it. Just added some SPS, montipora, candy canes, zoos and a hammer head. Everything is thriving. I did add the New CPR Aero 2, and it fits very well with a little modification to the sponge, plus the lid opens fully. Probably still gonna need a controller for the light and dosing pumps but that goes with the hands free territory.
  • Great Product and Packaging By Bryan on 2/24/2011

Just ordered the whole setup (a little wary of ordering a tank online) but BRS had it packed so well that I was impressed. Tank was clean and fully functional. Definitely would recommend BRS.
