great powerheads By Cory on 4/5/13
Cory would recommend this product to a friendI have two of these on a Koralia Smartwave controller in my IM Mini 38 tank. They are great and I love the magnet mounts. I have a number of Koralia powerheads scattered around the house on various tanks and they have all been great. In this case Nano powerheads are perfect for the smaller tanks and are just the right amount of flow to create the current you need to keep debris pockets from forming while at the same time not turning a smaller tank into a whirlpool. I also have the smaller Nano on my IM Nano 8 tank and appreciate the small footprint seeing that I have limited space. -
A Value Product By Clayton on 11/28/12
Clayton would recommend this product to a friendThe Koralia Nano is a very durable and reliable powerhead. It's also a great value for buyers on a budget. I'm using the 240 GPH version in a 8.7 gallon nano and it's providing the perfect amount of flow. -
Great for small tanks By Sam on 11/22/12
Sam would recommend this product to a friendI got this for a little 10g and love it. It gives great flow and doesnt take up much space at all. When i took down the tank I gave it to a friend for his first ten gallon half moon, he loves the look and it keeps his tank water moving perfectly and his tank looks great now. -
They do the job By Earl on 9/13/12
Earl would recommend this product to a friendI have two of these on the sides, toward the front of my 50 gallon tank and they are perfect. They provide enough current that is keeping my corals happy but not so much that it is blowing sand and corals all over the place. I have two larger ones on the side toward the rear and this seems to work out perfectly. They also aren't so big that they detract from the beauty of the tank. -
Good Value By Robert on 8/1/12
Robert would recommend this product to a friendI have used this pump now for a number of months and highly recommend it. The entire unit--particularly the mount--is well built and is is almost completely silent.
Very nice. -
Perfect for nano By Joey on 7/9/12
Joey would recommend this product to a friendAbsolutely wonderful in my 7 gallon nano tank. Has been working flawlessly for over a year. -
Perfect for size By Michael on 6/20/12
Michael would recommend this product to a friendAbsolutely perfect for my 15g tank. Fish love it and play in it, very quiet, and isn't too powerful. -
Compact and LOUD! By Gianni on 4/30/12
Gianni wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI own a few Koralia's (2x 1400 and 1050) so I thought I would try this nano for a dead spot I have behind my rocks. The egg sized form was perfect as I needed something that would fit in a tight location. After plugging it in the first thing I noticed was how loud it was. It sounds like a distant gas powered leaf blower. My 1400's are pretty quiet. You have to put your ear to the glass to hear them. Not with the 425. I can clearly hear it buzzing 5 feet in front of my tank. I will try taking it apart and seeing if I can quiet it down but so far I'm not impressed. -
Good little pump By Otis on 3/26/12
Otis would recommend this product to a friendI've had this pump about 8 months now. It's small living up to its name, but small in performance it is not! This is the main powerhead in my 20 gal tall reef, and it does a good job . I wish I had two! -
small and quiet By Jason on 2/25/12
Jason would recommend this product to a friendI have two nano 425's in my 28 biocube. they are doing the job good flow and quiet. -
Good water movement for a nano. By Frederick on 2/21/12
Frederick would recommend this product to a friendI have two of these nano pumps running in my 29 reef. The magnets keep them from moving and they run extremely quiet. As other reviewers have commented, the cord tends to pull on the pump turning them and making it difficult to maintain the angles I set them at. I would say that these small units are a good value for the money.

High flow is very important to maintaining a thriving healthy aquarium. Aquariums with poor flow can experience a number of easily avoidable health issues. Using high flow powerheads in your aquarium will:
- Significantly decrease the risk of algae outbreaks.
- Keep waste and particles suspended longer so skimmers and filters have a better chance of removing them.
- Prevent toxic pockets from forming in hard to reach areas.
- Keep debris from collecting on corals.
- Keep food suspended longer so you can add less food.
- Increase the chances of long term healthy tank success.
