Great product! By Fu on 4/20/13
Fu would recommend this product to a friendEasy to install, does what it is supposed to and works great! For the price you can't beat this. The only negative is the difficulty in removing the cap. -
Great Product By Seth on 3/30/13
Seth would recommend this product to a friendThis has been my favorite phosban reactor. It holds a ton of media. I have this running on my 150 gallon with no issues. I am sure this would be just perfect for a 180 gallon as well. This unit does a great job not letting any media fall into the tank. Easy to set up, runs great! -
Use a rubber glove to remove lid. By Mike on 3/27/13
Mike would recommend this product to a friendI've recently purchased this reactor and I'm happy with it so far. I also found the lid difficult to remove but mainly because I couldn't get a good enough grip. I put on a rubber glove and that made removing the lid very easy!
I'm not very confident in the rubber angles but even if they go bad it will be easy to use standard clear tubing. -
good price and works By Kirk on 1/31/13
Kirk would recommend this product to a friendThis is the only reactor that I have had so I can not say that this is the worst one or the best but I can say it does get the job done, I like that it is small, work in or out of the sump, and easy to use. There is some bad though, hard to get off lid and plumbing isn't the greatest. -
Cheap By Edward on 12/8/12
Edward wouldn't recommend this product to a friendI have owned this reactor for 6 months now. It does do the job however I am replacing this with the BRS reactor soon. The rubber Elbows on the lid have cracks all over them now and I am concerned one day they will leak, when i am not home and cause a big mess. and i also like to add removing the lid to change out media is a real pain. I never tighten it down that tight but when you go to remove it. It is always stuck. I Usually have to bring the reactor to my vice to get the lid to budge. -
Awesome Product By william on 11/28/12
william would recommend this product to a friendHave been using a couple of these reactors for GFO and Carbon. Setup is extremely simple, and product works great. Wish it came with tubing, but that's my only complaint. Love the included ball valve. -
Simple and Efficient Reactor By Chris on 10/13/12
Chris would recommend this product to a friendComes with pretty much everything needed to install. Just need a pump and tubes. Can be installed in a couple different configurations in just a matter of minutes. -
Does the job at better price By Mark on 9/5/12
Mark would recommend this product to a friendBought this Phosban reactor about a month ago. Decent quality build. It comes with an array of tubing, tubing extensions and accessories such as a valve for adjusting flow. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. This reactor is easy to load with media and within a few days of hooking it up my phosphates dropped from around 1.14 to 0.4. Overall its a great product for the price. I definitely would recommend this. -
Good price By Jonathan on 8/23/12
Jonathan wouldn't recommend this product to a friendWhile I cannot argue with the fact that this product got the job done. It did make things a little bit difficult. I found that after using it for a couple weeks it was often times extremely difficult to get the lid off and I found myself having to use a pipe strap. For the price this is a good product but I moved on to a more expensive reactor for easier dissasembly.
