This will not come with the power supply and pressure switch. They can be found in the link below or by searching aquatec in the search bar.
The wire harness is included, but the power supply is sold separately. This unit will require the booster pump kit or power supply in order to function with your RODI.
Have a great day!
You will not need the booster pump, just the Auto Flush and the power supply. Feel free to let us know if you have any further questions!
the booster pump will not be required with your pressure. To use the auto flush you can use just the pressure switch, power supply and auto flush.
For a unit with a 150gpd membrane/flow restrictor you would want the 800mL auto flush.
i have a genesis renew storm system that monitors the ro/di bin for water level (low and high) once low it send power to a solenoid which opens and sends tap water to BRS delux 6 stage ro/di unit. at 65 psi. once high level sensor in bin is triggered system shuts down the power thus putting the solenoid in closed mode, knowing that i will place this auto flush and the transformer on the same line that powers the main solenoid thus water supply from tap and auto flush kit will both power up and shut down at same time... will this setup still require a pressure switch?
During the flush cycle, the water is allowed to rush over the membrane and then bypass the flow restrictor and go down the drain, rather than being forced through the membrane. As a result, during this flush cycle, flow through the product line will significantly slow or cease altogether.
Have a great day!
This would instal in place of your existing 75gpd flow restrictor on a setup like that. Use and setup would be no different then setting it up with any other RO/DI unit and booster pump combo.
Most folks would remove it as its a bit redundant though it technically wouldn't hurt anything to leave it and just leave the valve closed.
An Auto-Flush Flow Restrictor will assist the RO membrane to perform with maximum efficiency for longer time periods. At BRS, we recommend that an RO system be flushed on a regular basis. The use of this auto-flush flow restrictor can reduce the “brine to product” ratio, especially in low “TDS” applications, while maintaining or improving system “TDS” rejection rate and extending membrane sediment and carbon filter life.
Upon system start-up and every hour thereafter, the 24VAC normally closed solenoid valve automatically “power flushes” the membrane at full pump flow, or full line pressure in unboosted systems, for 18 seconds every hour. Turbulent water action scrubs organic and inorganic contaminant’s from the membrane surface, extending membrane life and efficiency.
The “power flush” system only occurs only while the system is in the water making mode. The flush cycle is reset automatically when the RO system repeats the “water making” mode after the “full tank shut-down” mode. Water which has been standing idle in the membrane module for extended period is purged to the drain.
The PFR requires its own transformer or can be powered by the pump transformer. The valve has a built in, self cleaning, flow restrictor which allows controlled flow to drain when the valve is in the de-activated (closed) state.
Not sure By Mark on 3/7/2017Mark would recommend this product to a friendI wish it had a LED 'On' indicator or something to let you know it was working. I have a permeate pump in my system so you would think it should make its distinctive pumping noise if it was getting waste water from a flush, but it doesn't. My system is installed under my kitchen sink, so it's kinda hard to see what, if anything it's doing. I was sure I would be hearing water flow when it does it's routine maintenance flushes but no on that too.
A Must Have! By TonyP on 5/14/2016TonyP would recommend this product to a friendMakes life easy, prolongs the life of your RO/DI filters and improves the quality of your water output. It's one less thing to remember to do and is very easy to install.
One less thing to remember By Steve on 2/22/2016Steve would recommend this product to a friendInstalled the auto flush with the Aquatec 8800 Booster Pump. It was simple to install and the auto flush is excellent. It automatically flushes each time the pump turns on which has been great with the auto top off I have set up.
This is a "NO BRAINER" By Bob E on 12/31/2015Bob E would recommend this product to a friendI have run RO/DI for over 10 years. 100 GPD on the current one. I Have low TDS of 102 -110 and reasonable priced city water. I had an 800 size orifice on the system as that was what was recommended when I built my customized RO/DI system. So it was black Friday and BRS had these on sale, time to pull the trigger. I bought a new membrane as the current one was at 7 tds now but was at 2 when I installed it. I ordered the 600 orifice as I thought the flusher would help keep new membrane clean over the long haul and my water is very clean city water. So when I got the flush kit, I hooked it up before replacing membrane and a little over a month later, my TDS is between 1 & 2. The smaller orifice is saving me water and the flusher is going to make my membrane & DI resin last longer.
Plus the first minute of dirty water is flushed in stead of put in my ATO tank. I evaporate at least 4 gallons a day(depends on how long cooling fans run on tank), and do water changes of 45 gallon weekly(?). The mix tank fills at least 1 hr quicker than it did. I have 2 inline TDS readers on my system. 1 meter reads water into unit and the other reads water out of the membrane. The second meter shows water out of membrane and then after DI resin. So I can read membrane with 2 different inline testers and they both read the same. So these are accurate readings. This will pay for itself in less than a year. I have been putting off buying one for a couple of years, and now I wish I would have sooner, even at normal price. Go ahead, start saving money now you won't regret it, especially if you make a lot of RO water.
Works like a champ By MICHAEL on 11/14/2015MICHAEL would recommend this product to a friendMakes it a lot easier than Manual flush
Awesome By Dan on 3/21/2015Dan would recommend this product to a friendLove that it automatically flushes and I can forget about it.
SAVES LIFE OF MEMBRAINE
Does what it should By StarFishMan on 2/27/2015StarFishMan would recommend this product to a friendThis is just the ticket. Easy to install just pay attention to the in and out arrows on the device. Painless and it does exactly what is should. This coupled with the booster pump, float, and pressure switch for me are working exactly as I hoped they would. One happy camper.
Great add on By Jose on 1/19/2015Jose would recommend this product to a friendThis is a great add on to r/o save makes it easy
Very useful addition to my RO system By Chuck413 on 1/11/2015Chuck413 would recommend this product to a friendI am using my RO system to clean some brackish well water. The RO membrane needs to be flushed regularly to maintain its performance. This device does just that. It provides unrestricted flow for 25 seconds every hour keeping the membrane functioning well under these challenging conditions. I just wish I could adjust the interval between flushes.
works great By John on 8/22/2014John would recommend this product to a friendMakes life easier i have my system set up for both my reef and drinking water. Great add on for any RO system
Just makes life a litle easier By Brian on 1/28/2014Brian would recommend this product to a friendNot much to say, it does what it's supposed to. It came with no instructions on how to install, and as of yet there is no video on how to hook it up (HINT, HINT). There’s not much to installing it but I did make the mistake of thinking that it was to replace my manual back flush valve, not replace the whole back flush assembly entirely. Another words I missed the whole flow restrictor part of the title. After I figured that out I noticed the valve wasn’t opening up for me. Then I realized that I plugged it in before the electronic pressure switch shut off. It needs to be spiced in between the Electronic pressure sensor switch and the booster pump (would have been nice to know). Other than that, it does make a loud hissing noise because of the pressure being squeezed through the restrictor, I welcome it myself so I know when the flusher and RO/DI unit are working and when their not. Just in case I can’t hear the booster pump rattling the stud I have it mounted to through the walls of the house.
