Awesome Products By James on 12/3/13James would recommend this product to a friendI haven't set my dosers up yet, but I can say the 2 part system is awesome. If you can make a cup of coffee, you can definitely use this product. Mixes very well, and dosing is a breeze using the reef calculator. Make sure to change the calculator to dKH if you aren't using the meq/l. I personally think the dKH should be set as the standard and all others follow. Great customer service
What more would you want By Derek on 11/30/13Derek would recommend this product to a friendThis package is the cats meow. Comes with everything and the instructions are easy to follow. These are great to use with a controller or even a digital timer.
No question it's great. By Cory on 10/18/13Cory would recommend this product to a friendMy review is one of many glowing reviews. So it is obvious that this is a great product. This took the headache out of dosing for me. I use the dosing pumps with a Reefkeeper and it is super easy to manage. The two parts mixtures mix well and BRS has included great instructions. I think one of the biggest selling points for me is the fact that BRS has the dosing calculator on the website. Some days I just don't feel like doing algebra when I am exhausted, the calculator makes it incredibly simple. Last but not least, BRS support is responsive when I do need help.
Better then I expected By Stylianfire on 7/30/13Stylianfire would recommend this product to a friendVery simple product but works wonderfully. I have it paired up with my Apex JR and so far its working great.
I was gonna buy something similar from Ebay that is made in China but opted to buy from a company I trust (BRS)...
Makes Getting Into Dosing Simple By David on 6/21/13David would recommend this product to a friendWhat can I say? Everything you need to get started on two part dosing is included here. The instructions along with the calculator on the BRS site and you will be dosing in no time. The only thing that I suggest BRS include with this package is a set of suction cups for airline tubes to direct the dosing lines into your sump. Still a 5 star item though!
Works as expected By Jeff on 6/20/13Jeff would recommend this product to a friendTook about hour to setup and test. Love it works as stated. No more manually adding Alk and Cal!
Saved my sanity!! By Alex on 6/12/13Alex would recommend this product to a friendFinally after months of manual dosing and chasing test results, Ca and Alk swings I purchased this and got my parameters where I wanted them within 5 days.
Great product. Pumps are virtually silent and seem well constructed.
Chemicals seem to dissolve well.
If you are serious about the hobby this is a no brainer.
Autopilot for your tank! By AC on 5/15/13AC would recommend this product to a friendAll I have to do is fill up my jugs once every 35 days.
Great Stuff By Warren on 5/13/13Warren would recommend this product to a friendVery easy to use and set up. Love it.
Dosing By Robert on 5/11/13Robert would recommend this product to a friendSaves money in th long run to make your own supplies. Easy to make and use. Just test, calculate, and set timers!
Very good product - good package By Jeff on 5/2/13Jeff would recommend this product to a friendThis kit came with everything I needed and I must say that the pumps are top notch.
I would suggest that you "calibrate" the pumps as the instructions suggest. I found mine dose 1.5 and 1.8ml per minute rather than the 1.1 advertised.
A reef controller to go along with this is not a must have, but a major convenience.

Can any combination of calcium, alk, and mag be mixed together and dosed from one pump, if not and i need to use individual pumps can should they be dosed at different times and how much time between each?
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Robert,
The solutions must remain seperate from each other until they are added into the aquarium. You will want individual dosers for the calcium and alkalinity (which two are included in this package so your covered there). Most folks dose the magnesium by hand as it typically only needs to be added weekly or monthly, compared to the daily dose on the calcium and alkalinity.
Its best to dose them at separate times to high flow areas of the tank, though if dosed slowly to separate high flow areas of the tank its generally not an issue if you need to dose them at the same time either.

Does the kit come with tubing for the pumps also?
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Greg,
It sure does. The pumps themselves come with a little over 15ft of tubing each.

Wait if there is magnesium calcium and alkalinity wouldn't i need three pumps
Bulk Reef Supply Hi Cameron,
Magnesium declines very slowly and generally only needs to be added once a month or sometimes even less so most folks opt to save the expense and just dose the magnesium by hand when necessary.

Will I need to buy 2 timers for this if I do not have a controler
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Michael,
That would be the best way to do it, though if they were running for the same amount of time (which would generally be the case) you could run them off a timer with two outlets as well like our Hamilton Digital Timer. That said though, might be worth picking up a simple controller like the Reef Keeper Lite Basic. By the time you add up the cost of 4 timers its basically paid for itself not to mention the temp probe and controller functions themselves.
The 2 Part Calcium & Alkalinity Total Package with Dosers includes everything you need to make your own 2 Part Solution and begin dosing. Simply measure the dry material with a household measuring cup and mix with water in the included gallon jugs. This kit will help maintain Calcium, Alkalinity, and Magnesium parameters in the tank in easy once a day doses. It also makes it easy by automating the 2 Part Solution using a dosing pump to make your daily additions. Your corals will be healthier and grow faster.
Each Kit Includes:
- 2 BRS 2 Part Dosers 1.1 mL per minute
- ½ or 1 gallon of Calcium
- ½ or 1 gallon of Alkalinity
- ½ or 1 gallon of Magnesium Chloride
- ½ or 1 gallon of Magnesium Sulfate
- 3 clear PVC 1 gallon jugs with caps
- (2) 1 ounce dispensing pumps
- (2) 100 mL cups for measuring liquid solution
- 1 Funnel
BRS 2 Part Dosers are ideal for automating 2 Part dosing. Our peristaltic pump has an extremely accurate 1.1mL per minute flow rate. Silent operation. The pump utilizes a unique system that attaches the drive shaft at the bottom and top to eliminate shaft wobble. Precision two roller design extends pump life and will not back siphon. Not for continuous use.
Use the BRS Reef Calculator to calculate dosage amounts. For more information on how to use the 2 Part Solution click here.
