  did you have the teszla controller device?

  The Teszla lights are controlled by an on-board timer/controller. You basically just press the button in the morning when you want it to turn on, press the button again in the evening when you want it to turn off, and then it will remember those times and repeat them every day.

  Can you create a dawn and dusk lighting manipulation for turning the lights on and off?

  Bulk Reef Supply Hey Casey,
  The Teszla can do a great simple ramp up and down effect and its actually built into the programming. The programming is super simple and you don't have to hassle with any clocks, etc, because you simple tune the colors that you want, press the enter button at the time of day you want the lights to be on, and then press the enter button again at the end of the day when you want the lights to turn off. It remembers the timing and automatically turns on and off at the same times the following days. It will automatically start the lights off at 0% and slowly ramp them up to the settings you have chosen over the coarse of 30 minutes and do the opposite at lights out.

  How far above the water is it recommended for these to hang?

  3-4 inches would be typical. The closer they are the more light you get in the tank, the higher you are the more the light spreads out. I wouldn't go closer then 3" though just to keep water from splashing, etc.
