pH calibration requires two calibration solutions. You want to use the two solutions closest to the pH of what you are measuring. If your planning to measure the pH of your aquarium which is usually around 8, you would use the 7 and 10 solutions. If measuring the pH of something like a calcium reactor which is usually closer to 6-7, you would want to use the pH 4 and 7 solutions.
Milwaukee Calibration Solution sold in single use packets.
Almost all pH monitors and controllers will require two points of reference to accurately monitor the pH that the probe is reading. You will want to use calibration solutions that are on either spectrum of the pH you intend to monitor. For reef tanks where the pH is normally 7.8-8.5 then you would want to use calibration solution 7.0 and 10.01. For calcium reactors on saltwater tanks where the pH is normally below 7.0, you would want to use 4.01 and 7.01 for calibration of the probe.
4.01 pH - The lower threshold reading your pH monitor or controller will require for use with calcium reactors for saltwater aquariums, solutions below 7.00 pH and also most freshwater aquariums.
7.01 pH - Neutral pH calibration packet. This is used by almost all pH monitors and controllers for calibration.
10.01 pH - The higher threshold reading your pH monitor or controller will require for use with saltwater aquariums or solutions above 7.00 pH
Calibration packets can be stored in a cool dry area for up to 2 years.
Must-have for calibrating pH probes By Eric on 3/24/2017Eric would recommend this product to a friendThis (along with the pH 10 solution) are important to keep probes calibrated. They should be calibrated regularly.

Single use feels wasteful but is better for accuracy By sjohnson2152 on 2/24/2016sjohnson2152 would recommend this product to a friendI like these single use packets much better than the larger containers that seem to go bad quickly (especially with the 10.0 solutions). The packets seem to be helping to keep my pH probe accurate so am assuming the solution is pretty accurate (compared to my Seneye pH readings which don't require calibration with fluids, the probe and Seneye readings usually always match w/in +/- .2).
Simple By Scott on 1/29/2016Scott would recommend this product to a friendJust incredibly easy...

Simple By David on 6/5/2015David would recommend this product to a friendAlways used these and have been the most simple and consistent every time. Calibrate the probe and toss out the pack. No worrying about contaminating calibration fluids in larger quantities.
easy to use By riverview on 5/23/2015riverview would recommend this product to a friendCost was a plus. Convenience was a major. I only hope the accuracy is as good.
