Easily best salt in the market By Oscar on 11/24/13Oscar would recommend this product to a friendI switched over to this salt after using reef crystals for over a year in my nano. My corals after a month started to show vivid amazing colors. I made keeping all my levels in a steady pace real simple, But also brought everything I needed in a salt that most brands didn't. I'm glad i made the switch. You will not regret it either.
Only salt i use By brian on 11/23/13brian would recommend this product to a friendi made the mistake and tried others and i have to say that i significant differences in the very short time i used the "other" salt. i will only use red sea coral pro. and even better when i buy it from BRS.
Good stuff By sean on 11/21/13sean would recommend this product to a friendI just started using this, but so far so good no complaints .
Great salt By Herbert on 10/24/13Herbert would recommend this product to a friendWas having problems with pH using another brand of salt. After several large water changes with Red Sea pro salt, the pH corrected and now is stable. Very happy with the results and will continue using this salt mix.
Better than the rest By gemamanda on 10/21/13gemamanda would recommend this product to a friendMy corals were barely surviving with other salt mixes, not they are not just thriving, but multiplying and growing quickly! Highly recommend.
Excellent By Cory on 10/18/13Cory would recommend this product to a friendThere are a ton of reviews on this salt. And reefers have a ton of opinions of which salt is the best. So it comes down to what is best for you. This salt works for me because it mixes well, it is consistent from batch to batch, and when I test the mixed water I get the ratio of elements I am looking for. I have had better results with Red Sea than Instant Ocean. But I have friends who say the opposite. If your not using Red Sea, give it a shot and see how it works for you. For me the result has been healthier corals. Just don't use the cool looking leftover buckets for water storage....they leak :-)
Awesome product! By J on 10/15/13J would recommend this product to a friendRSCP salt is awesome! Switched to this after hearing that it was better for coral growth. Got some browned out SPS from someone and after a couple of weeks in the RSCP, all the sticks have color now and great polyp extension. Also made my zoas and palys spread like crazy! Will not use another salt after this!
Great Salt Bad Packaging By Jake Wilkerson on 10/15/13Jake Wilkerson would recommend this product to a friendI've ordered both sizes now. Each time the bucket comes with a huge crack down the side. I don't know about everyone else but I like to get my money's worth and re purpose those buckets.
Disappointing but I still love the salt.
cloudy water, brown filter pads By mikec on 10/15/13mikec wouldn't recommend this product to a friendAt first I couldn't figure out where the brown was coming from on my filter pads and filter sock. I thought maybe it was GFO. Then I changed back to reef crystals and it cleared up, also my water is now crystal clear. Something is wrong with this salt, I am very disappointed.
Great growth on my zoos! By Scott on 10/9/13Scott would recommend this product to a friendMixes a little cloudy, directions say not to mix over 4 hours. I have 3 high end zoos I purchased that were sticking around with 3 polyps and now they have 9-10 polyps each. Acans are growing new heads as well. This only after 3 weekly 20% water changes. Prior to this I used Reef Crystals, it mixed super clear over night but I did not see this kind of growth.
I know this is a top notch salt I did not use it yet I will soon (175 Gal Bucket) By Kenneth on 9/5/13Kenneth would recommend this product to a friendThe order arrived quickly as I have come to expect from BRS the only issue was the bucket was shipped in a box with the shipping label on the side of the bottom of the box, so the shipper handled it with the lid down when I opened the lid was destroyed and completely off the bucket salt had leaked out of the bag I don't know how much salt was lost? also the metal handle was badly bent, I am glad I had a empty spare salt bucket, I save the empty buckets for water changes etc, I called BRS they offered me a couple options to make it right (Thanks BRS) I must just be having bad luck lately, Past salt purchases I have made online from a other site ships the salt with the label on the bucket making it easier for the shipper to handle the heavy product, the next time I will ask for the bucket not to be put in a box since this is the first time out of 4 5gal purchases one was damaged in transit! I am not going to stop buying from BRS just sharing my experience.
Had Red Sean and ran out By Sean on 8/28/13Sean would recommend this product to a friendI bought Red Sea awhile ago and ran out, was using up some salt that was given to me, and now am out of that thankfully, looking forward to using Red Sea again since my corrals like it and it supplies more of what I need for my tank

I am new to marine tanks can I use this salt for cycling and then I will add fishes and on down the line I will add a couple of corals. is this one better or Reef crystals salt?
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Ronn,
If your just starting a new tank and you don't currently have any corals, then I would suggest using the regular Red Sea Salt. The coral pro salt has elevated levels of calcium and alkalinity that wouldn't be of use without corals in your tank.
Unlike the natural reef environment, which has an immeasurable reservoir of all 57 elements, a reef aquarium is an artificial environment that is constantly affected by coral growth and other ongoing biological processes. Red Sea Coral Pro salt is the result of years of research. Formulated for use with RO water, the unique Sodium Chloride harvested from the Red Sea Reef contains optimally balanced ratios between calcium, alkalinity and magnesium. Coral Pro Salt contains elevated levels of these elements for accelerated coral growth.
Coral Pro Salt is designed to provide the biologically balanced, elevated levels of the foundation elements (Calcium, Magnesium & Carbonates) necessary for sustainable, accelerated growth and enhanced vitality of all corals. Coral Pro salt is ideal for reef aquariums, in particular for LPS and SPS corals and growing out coral frags. Main parameters at a salinity of 33.0 ppt are: KH - 11.8-12.2 °dKH, Ca - 430 - 450 mg/l, Mg 1280 - 1340 mg/l.
