Tony would recommend this product to a friendAfter searching around locally for one I found it here. I was worried about the threads but they were not a problem. -
Did Exactly what I wanted it too By Andy on 7/3/12
Andy would recommend this product to a friendThis Bulkhead was cheep and easty to install. I used it to create a spout out of two rubbermaids that I had as resiviours for my RO/DI unit. Worked great with a streiner and a half inch hose that I use for draining the water into a bucket. I highly recomend these Bulkheads. -

Great quality & price By Chris on 5/19/11
Chris would recommend this product to a friendI DIY'd a sump out of cast acrylic sheet, and due to the close fit of the equipment in my stand, I flipped it around, chopped off about an inch on the stem side, then plumbed my pump with this as an oversize intake. Worked out perfect - the ABS being so durable, I didn't even ruin the thread and I saved a crucial 3/8" - basically a mile considering the fit. Did I mention a great price?

which is the flange side of a bulkhead fitting
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Larry,
The flange size is the the side with the flat mushroom shaped end (a flange). This would be the side that goes on the inside of the tank, opposite of where the nut screws on. Dimension A in the schematic image is the flange side.
Bulkheads are used to attach plumbing to aquariums and sumps. These low profile reef safe bulkheads are made from black ABS plastic. Our supplier manufactures these slightly thicker than competitor aquarium bulkheads making them more reliable.
