Good Rock By Adam on 7/23/2014Adam would recommend this product to a friendI odered this figi rock and it looks great, good price too but if you have a few extra bucks I would go with the pukani rock it is amazing, you cant go wrong with this figi rock either
Nice rock By shawn on 7/1/2014shawn would recommend this product to a friendLots of good sides to the rock. Hard to choose what side to face. BRS did a great job filling the order with the notes on tank size I left. I would say I got exactly what I asked for. Well done BRS!
Great rocks! By Mario on 6/15/2014Mario would recommend this product to a friendPurchased these rocks to add to my existing 75g tank that was recently upgraded from a 45, so it was lacking on the live rock. Over time I added about 35 pounds of this and the reef saver rock and couldn't be happier. I rinsed the rock thoroughly after receiving it and closely monitored the tank for any effects since this rock still needs to go through a curing process. I didn't have any readable spikes- thanks to my preexisting cured rocks, and couldn't be happier with the results. Might actually be purchasing more soon to add to my 70 lbs of rock.
As expected By Brian on 6/2/2014Brian would recommend this product to a friendVery nice rock. Mostly medium pieces. It is Figi!
Maybe one large piece in there I needed these for some top area stuff to mount corals on. Perfect for my needs. If you plan to use this as 100% of your rock in a big tank you may want to get some bigger base rock for the bottom. For a small tank it would be just fine... depending on how you do it.
Great Rock!! By emdrn05 on 5/19/2014emdrn05 would recommend this product to a friendI received several good size pieces in my order. They were all very unique in appearance and shape. I would definitely buy this rock again. Awesome!
Beautiful pieces, wide array of shapes and sizes making for perfect aquascapes, packed extremely well. By MatraD on 4/8/2014MatraD would recommend this product to a friendWhen I decided to start a new build - I have to say, rock was one of the most important factors. You read so much stuff on the Internet nowadays - that I decided to call BRS up and talk about what I wanted. I have always liked the Fiji rock - so I went with 125lbs and added some tonga for shelf pieces. Truly each piece of dry Fiji had more than one "face" I wanted to show. All in all, I buy all my stuff from BRS - if you te having doubts with rock, go with the Fiji, you will NOT be disappointed - or call them up - they are more than happy to help.
Met expectations By Ryan on 4/7/2014Ryan would recommend this product to a friendThought that i might have had all I needed with the Pukani rock that came in before this Fiji, boy was I wrong. Combining the two types of rock I made a great landscape even better and more stable.
great rock and great pieces! By Ryan on 2/8/2014Ryan would recommend this product to a friendI ordered 30 lbs of rock for a 40g reef I am starting. perfect amount or rock and it looks amazing. They did a great job of sending a few larger pieces mixed with some smaller ones to really create a nice looking aquascape. will buy again for my next build!
Great Rock, False Promises!! By DirkShaw on 1/14/2014DirkShaw would recommend this product to a friendMy order was for 300 pounds of rock, I specifically requested that all pieces be as large as possible, no small pieces!! After being promised that they would hand select my pieces I felt confident I would get what I ordered. When my order arrived, to my disappointment I open up the boxes and found the rock in varying sizes with a lot of smaller to medium-size pieces and not the larger that I requested.
As for the rock itself, I am very happy with the rock, the quality and shapes are awesome for up aqua-scraping! Great rock but poor customer service on following through with a promise!
Love this Rock! By Jennifer on 1/13/2014Jennifer would recommend this product to a friendGreat pieces of Rock. Came with some dried Coralline Algae on it.
I ordered 15 lbs, and received more than that. Probably about 18-20lbs.
I just placed a second order of this rock, another 10 lbs.
Astonishing By Juan on 10/26/2013Juan would recommend this product to a friendI am completely blown away at what a nice deal this is! The rock is absolutely beatiful! I was anxious about the wait but after I received it, I don't care how long I have to wait not to put it in my aquarium. Just being able to see it on a daily basis and know that one day it will go into my tank is more than enough. Check out my youtube review as well at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vap9bEAbuQM . BRS you have a customer for life!!! Thank you!
Good addition to my past dry rock purchase. By James on 10/3/2013James would recommend this product to a friendI just recently added this rock to a previous purchase of the bulk 50 lbs. and now have a very nice aqua scape again hitch hiker free and more rock for the money. I love the quality of this rock, shape and size. Great alternative if you don't have a local reef shop. No mandatory over night shipping required.

So is the quantity the number of pounds of rock
Bulk Reef Supply Hi Christian,
That is correct. It is sold by the lb, so whatever quantity you enter in the quantity field is the number of pounds you are ordering.

I'm starting my first saltwater tank, so can I just put this rock right in the tank? Or do I need to do anything with it first before putting it into the main tank? Do I just rinse it off?
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Eric,
As long as there isn't any live stock in the tank that is how most of us would do it. Just put the rock in, then put in your sand and your water and let the whole tank cycle together.
by Ed on October 19, 2013, @10:13 AM
Can this rock be used to cycle a new tank?
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Ed,
It sure can. In fact thats one of the more preferred ways and its often nice just to do it all in the same tank. Its a lot easier to aquascape dry. We like to do our aquascaping, add our sand, add our water and then let it all cycle.
by Rocky on February 13, 2014, @4:26 PM
Do i have to cycle my new Fiji rock if have an existing fish reef tank or i can just place it in the tank?????
Bulk Reef Supply Hi Rocky,
You absolutely would want to cycle the rock in a different container before adding to an established tank. Its just not worth the risk of starting a new cycle in something with live stock. You can use something as simple as a bucket or trash can depending on the volume you plan to add.

Hi, new to saltwater, how do I activate the Dry Live Rock? Will live sand start the process and if so how long should I expect it to take? Also what needs to be done to the dry rock before placing it in the tank. I have a 55 gallon I am converting. Thanks for the time
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Frank,
You got it. Its really as simple as setting up the tank with the rock and just letting it all run a while before you put live stock in. Its hard to say exactly how long it will take, as you want to measure the ammonia in the tank. It will rise slowly over a few weeks and then start to come down, when its 0 is the first point where you can consider adding critters. 4-6 weeks would be a fairly typical ballpark.
BRS Fiji Dry Rock is the standard rock used in aquariums. Fiji Dry Rock is porous and full of holes that become nice homes and passage ways for your tanks inhabitants. Like all of our dry rock Fiji is free of nuisance algae and pests which can cause complete tank shut downs and is guaranteed to be free of apitasia, bubble algae, parasitic isopods, mantis shrimp, acro eating flat worms, little red bugs, fire worms, predatory nudibranchs, pyramidellid snails and other common pests.
Using Dry Rock has the following advantages:
- Low initial cost on premium types of rock.
- Pound for pound a way better value - no water weight.
- Can be shipped standard UPS ground which saves a fortune on shipping.
- Absolutely pest free. This is the most important reason. This allows you to completely avoid all of the most common aquarium pests that plague most aquarists.
Dry live rock is not available for shipment to Canada due to high tariffs. Please consider Reef Saver rock as it is not subject to these fees and is our favorite of the dry rocks available.
