What membranes does the Spartan 300 gpd system use? Its been about a year and a half but I think I need to change them as our TDS going into the system is around 250ppm. Thanks
Bulk Reef Supply Hi David,
The Spartan unit utilizes a pair of 150gpd membranes. In general though I would suggest not changing the membranes unless there is a specific cause to. They typically last 3-5 years, or sometimes much longer. They don't really get "used up" by the tds, usually the cause for replacement is that they have become damaged by chlorine from the pre-filters not being changed frequently enough. As long as your vigilant with your pre-filters they should last a very long time.
