I really like the unit, I have two of them over one of my display tanks. What gets this a 4 star instead of 5 is the programmability of the pucks. There is not a really great way without manually doing all of the percentages manually on the remote also AI only interfacing. I really wish I could log into a website and create a profile and then upload it like some competitors. As far as actual performance, none better. The colors are brilliant and make me smile constantly. I recommend these none the less!

Having this light on my tank is like I just got a new tank. I upgraded to this light from a T5HO fixture and it is a world of difference. I can't stop looking at my tank! It seems everywhere I look I find something with colors the T5's just didn’t bring out. Not to mention the shimmer effect does nothing but add to the beauty of the tank.

Received our 3 Vega Color Led Modules, two of them work flawlessly. The third however had no green led's light on light test, so we ran the light test again. The second time we ran the test only one of the green led's lit while the other remained unlit. Still waiting on a reply from BRS on this issue.

I could not be more pleased I have 4 of them on a 6ft 125 gallon SPS tank. The set up was easy, service for AI great, and the fact my reef club RRMAS did the install even better. They attached the rail system with clamps to the top of my canopy. My only concerns, look at the bracing in your tank to see what impact it will have on your lighting and second to get the best spread within my canopy left my corners a little dark so I added stunner strips just to balance the light.

We have had the Vega over our 40 gallon reef for a couple months now; we have loved the performance until recently. They give great color, the reef pops ten times as much as it did with T5s. The ability to control the lights as well as the daylight to moon light transition are amazing, and we have loved watching the tank so much more since getting the Vega. One issue we have had is salt creep; the light is mounted a little under 6" from the water line on an open top tank (AI says you can be as close as 4") but we have to use a microfiber cloth every week to clean the salt off the unit. This past week it started disconnecting from the controller and stayed stuck on blue LEDs. To the company's credit they paid for us to ship the unit to have them look at it. However they said that there was water damage and that we would have to pay for the repairs since that was not covered under warranty. We followed instructions to a T and still ended up with water damage; we will be moving the light to 8" now. So just a warning to future owners

These lights are great, programming can be a little tricky...wish ai would release the director controller that has been promised for a long time....but still the best available.

This is an awesome light, extremely powerful, be sure to dial it down if you are upgrading from power compacts or t5s like I have. It can easily fry your corals if you do not allow for ample acclimation time. A word of caution however, the Vega (as of now) does not connect to the Neptune Apex controller like the AI Sol does. I learned this the expensive way so don't do what I did and do not purchase the VDM Module, it won't connect as the Vegas are wireless. I hear there is something in the works though, and once the AI Director comes out there really won’t be a huge need for this as the Director is basically a controller just for the lights. Beautiful Colors though and all the critters seem to be enjoying their new lights!

This light is amazing for growing, there is no heat so I don't need my chiller anymore and it uses 80% less power then my MH! I have two over a 36inch long 75 gal. It is 30 inches from light to sand bed and I have no problems. I have SPS ,LPS and one clam, everyone is happy with great color. I added the new controller to have sunrises sunsets and lighting storms! Guests love the affects and fish love the smooth transition from night to day and back to night. No more Flash actinic then flash MH lol , hope u enjoy
