For the determination of the phosphate concentration in fresh and seawater. Phosphates are an important food component of all plants and absolutely necessary for the metabolism of every living cell. If the plants do not take up enough phosphate, then the equilibrium of the phosphate cycle is disturbed. The result is powerful algae growth and a growth impediment of stony corrals. With this test, the phosphate concentration can be determined from 0.03 to 3 mg/l with the help of the color chart. The test reagents are sufficient for approx. 30 tests.  |
