The carbonate hardness or alkalinity corresponds to the buffer capacity of the aquarium water and therefore determines the stability of the pH-value in the water. With these tests the carbonate hardness and alkalinity can be measured with precision in °dKH. The test liquids show a pronounced and obvious color change and are sufficient for approx. 100 tests.  |
