Worked Perfect! By Seth on 5/5/13Seth would recommend this product to a friendI've never drilled glass before but after watching the BRS video and buying the bit, I can now say I have a perfectly cut hole in my sump. Thank you BRS!!
Good price does the job By Jeff on 5/4/13Jeff would recommend this product to a friendDrilled as it was suppose to.
pretty impressed By eric on 4/15/13eric would recommend this product to a friend1st time drilling glass and couldn't have worked smoother. Followed the BRS video and set the tank to drill horizontally and built a little dam to hold water around the bit. I went without a guide tilting the drill about 20 degrees to get it started and slowly squaring it up. Took less than a minute to go through a 1/4" wall.
Worth the money By Brandon on 4/9/13Brandon would recommend this product to a friendThis is the first tank I have drilled and I was very worried about it but these bits are very high quality and made it very easy. After I drill the first hole now I don't worry about it anymore. Thanks BRS also for the great video's to go along with it. The Drill press stand helps a lot also. Just be careful hard to tell how hard you are really pushing on it when you get the springs compressed down a ways.
Easy By Matt on 4/6/13Matt would recommend this product to a friendI couldn't believe how easy it was to drill glass. I made (4) 48mm holes in my 40 gallon breeder. They were all at the same height on the back glass of the tank. I don't think I could have kept the bit steady without making a wood jig. It took me about 20 minutes of drilling per hole.
awesome prices here By John on 3/28/13John would recommend this product to a friendbest prices i could find for these
Good for the price By Ronald on 3/24/13Ronald would recommend this product to a friendLittle on the cheap side of bits, quality wise. Great buy for the money, and preformed as advertised drilled 8 holes before the bit started to show wear. BRS site was a little confusing in determining what size to buy for the 3/4" Schedule 80 Bulkhead Slip X Thread Dimensions, which state to use the 45mm, but the bit page stated to use the the 42mm. Glad I went with the 42 its a perfect fit. One key advice. take it slow and keep it wet and cool while drilling .
Easy to use By Travis on 3/15/13Travis would recommend this product to a friendI was a little nervous at first to dill the tank but it was so easy with this tool. I got the 48mm bit and drilled two holes in less than 20 minutes.
Worked just like it was suppose to. By Rick on 3/15/13Rick would recommend this product to a friendFirst time drilling aquarium. Watch videos from BSR and project went smoothly. With no problems drilled 3 holes in aquarium for bulk heads easily with bit, A great price also.
Great tool By James on 3/11/13James would recommend this product to a friendWorks just like I expected. Followed instructions on YouTube and I was done in a matter of minutes.
Quality Bit, Chewing Through 0.25 Inch Glass By Greg J on 3/5/13Greg J would recommend this product to a friendI ordered two of the 45 mm bits with a total of 5 holes to drill, i figured "better safe than sorry", i'm happy to report that with a slow drill speed and constant water flow, these bits will last, even in thick glass. These may be a dollar or two more than other places, but it's so convenient to get the bulkheads and the hole saws in the same box with one shipping charge.
Will buy again.
Great Value By Paul on 2/25/13Paul would recommend this product to a friendThe product was very economical and a high quality product. Perfect for DIY'rs. Alternative bits from other online suppliers are far more expensive for the same quality. I have seen the bits as high as 65.00 a bit at other places. So in short THREE thumbs up. Thank you BRS for carrying these at affordable prices.

I'd like to do an internal overflow, but I don't know if the tank is tempered (it's a standard 55). How can you tell? I've seen the information using a TV/computer display and a polarizing lens, but my tank isn't placed such that this would be practical. Is there another way to tell? Thanks.
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Jim,
Great question! The easiest way to tell is just to call the manufacturer as nobody will know better then them! :-) In most cases the sides of the tank are not tempered but it never hurts calling just to double check.

Hi, I'm setting up my breeding rack and wants to drill like 30 10g tanks for the bulk head. My friend gave me 25 pcs of 1/2 bulk head, can I buy one drill bit for 30 tanks? or do I have to buy multiple drill bit. Thanks
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Sam,
How many holes you get out of a drill bit depends on a lot of factors such as cooling, thickness of glass, pressure used, etc, but on the average I would pick up a drill bit for every 4-5 holes you need to drill.

what kind of drill bit are useful for a acrylic aquarium?
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Carlos,
For an acrylic aquarium you would use a regular holesaw bit like this kit linked below:

Can the diamond coated drill Bits also drill though acrylic.
Bulk Reef Supply Hey Kyle,
Good question! The diamond bits are for glass. For acrylic you would just want hole saw bits like this kit:
