Nick would recommend this product to a friendI bought the 3/4" barb adapter to use on my Eheim 1260, and it was a perfect fit. The threads are an exact match with the stock Eheim pump, and it was dirt cheap, so there's not much else I can ask for here. -

They will fit just fine. All pipe is giving a "nominal" size rating. This standardizes everything so that you can always know that a 1" bulkhead will fit 1" pipe, will fit 1" barb, etc. As long as you have the same size you will be set :-) -

Will this fitting work with 5/8" nylon tubing?

Obviously its made for 1/2" tubing but I think its close enough that if you had a quality hose clamp it would do the trick for you.
